Inspired by The Hunger Games – the film for which Swift and The Civil Wars originally recorded the track – the clip finds Evancho serving up some Katniss Everdeen realness even Jennifer Lawrence would be proud of.
While she’s best known for operatic covers of classics, this latest release marks a contemporary departure for the singer.

Jackie Evancho will take the stage during America’s Got Talent The Champions finale tonight on NBC. We will see a winner crowned and multiple special guest appearances but most notably Jackie Evancho will be taking the stage and performing a song from her upcoming album on Broadway hits “The Debut” (available April 12). Jackie will be performing the song “Somewhere” which you can listen to above.
The frontrunners for the winning spot of AGT Champions includes Darci Lynne Farmer, Susan Boyle, and Angelica Hale.
The winner was decided months ago as the competition series was pre-recorded but NBC has been successful in avoiding major spoilers for the talent competition series which has featured acts from the Got Talent franchise around the world both former winners and finalists.

Jackie was asked about her musical influences to which she told billboard.com she would like to have the career and Stage presence of Barbra Streisand and the business mind of Kim Kardashian. “I want to have the work ethic and cleverness that Kim Kardashian has with her business and I want to be able to write lyrics the way that the lead singer from Cage the Elephant does. I want to be able to do a bunch of different things.”
Jackie also has goals to expand beyond music saying she wants to have a clothing line, makeup line and just wants to become a businesswoman.

Jackie Evancho’s AGT Champions Performance Was Edited and She’s Not Happy
Jackie Evancho has revealed that her America’s Got Talent Champions performance was edited. The revelation was shared on her social media Monday night following the airing of the episode on NBC.
“Thank you for the love and support over my AGT performance tonight. I’m very proud but I’m sorry you didn’t get to hear my most favorite part and the highest notes of the performance that was edited out! I’m bummed.”
Jackie performed a rendition of Music of the Night from Phantom of the Opera.

Jackie Evancho Ready For Redemption on AGT Champions
Jackie Evancho returned to America’s Got Talent On Monday night’s episode of America’s Got Talent The Champions. The former AGT runner-up says that she returned to the show where it all started for a second chance to win. She reveals that when she lost in 2010 at the age of ten that she assumed her life was going to go back to normal not realizing that she would go on to release platinum-selling albums and perform around the world.
“Being on America’s Got Talent The Champions it’s a big deal for me personally. Ever since I became second place I wanted to have one more shot. If I was named the winner it would be like redeeming the first round. And that is exactly what I’m going to do.” Jackie said in the pre-performance video introduction.
Jackie performed Music of the Night from Phantom of the Opera. She will release a new album in April titled “The Debut” which will feature a collection of modern Broadway hits.

Jackie Evancho Talks Eating Disorder Says She Went “Days Without Eating”
Jackie Evancho continues her media appearances in what she is calling her “Year of Truth”. She appeared on access to further discuss the revelation that she has been battling an eating disorder.
Jackie first went public with the eating disorder earlier this week during an exclusive interview with ABC’s Good Morning America. In this new interview, she tells Access that she went days without eating.
The former America’s Got Talent runner-up who competed in the competition in 2010 at the age of 10 will appear on America’s Got Talent the Champions February 4th. Jackie is now 18 and living in New York and says she is ready to be honest. Jackie will be releasing a new album later this year titled “Jackie Evancho the Debut” which will feature covers of modern Broadway hits.
