Also on board will be producers Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner, with Liza Chasin and Amelia Granger will executive produce.
Exec VP of Production Erik Baiers and creative executive Chloe Yellin will oversee the project for Universal.
Prior to this new found information Sofia Coppola was attached to the project but left due to creative differentces. Moretz was considered as a front runner for the role of Ariel from the very beginning and even after Coppola left universal still wanted her on the project but didn’t want to make the announcement official until a writer was named.
