Bad Weather Doesn’t Stop Hillsong United Worship

In a post to social media, Hillsong United shared the story of how bad weather actually created a raw worship experience.

True experiences come in unscripted moments — Lightning cracked and fired as the rain drizzled down finally breaking some of the sticky Mississippi heat — The venue decided due to weather the show cannot go on — so as thousands corralled through the exits and off to the safety of their cars the closed down street in front of the venue became its own venue — Under a street light where thousands of moths and mosquitos gathered WE also gathered — A small drum a few guitars and our voices we played a few songs — joined by faithful band of brothers and sisters we had a sing along — The stage light a street lamp, the strobes were lightning cracking off in the distance and the fog machines was natures mist rising from the cooling street — This was such an amazing reminder of who God is — Outside the security of everything that was supposed to be we found God’s presence among us — From the backstreets if Mississippi to the cool AC of the coliseums God is simply with the heart of the worshipper.
